GTA 6 price on PS5

Standard vs Ultimate on PS5

Both editions are the same game. The extra $20.00 for Ultimate buys in-game items, not extra story. This is the list from the US PlayStation Store page on 2026-10-07. Store listing

In both editions

• Grand Theft Auto VI
• Vintage Vice City Pack
• One month of GTA+ (pre-order bonus)
• 7-day pre-load

Only in Ultimate

• '95 Grotti Cheetah sports car
• Hawk & Little Morgan revolvers (a his-and-hers pair)
• Personalised weapon variants for Jason and Lucia
• Vice City style outfits, hairstyles and tattoos
• Safehouse vehicles: Dinka Enduro and Crest Kayak
• Ganado Retro Build truck and Shitzu Squalo boat
• '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy and Paradise Garage
• Goodtime Gear apparel collection
• PTT Youngin$ Compound raid and a classic car collection commission
• Five extra places: Rideout Customs, Sara's Unisex Salon, Stock 305, Electric Fang Tattoo, One-Eyed Willie's

If you are not sure, buy Standard: it is the full game, and Ultimate only adds the items and places above.

Digital or boxed: there is no disc

Rockstar has said boxed copies on both PS5 and Xbox contain a store code to redeem instead of a disc (VGC, June 24, 2026). The box costs the same, and you still install the whole game from the store, so a PS5 Digital Edition or a Pro without a disc drive plays it fine. What you lose is resale and lending: once the code is used, the game is tied to your account like any digital purchase. Some shops that only sell disc games have dropped it for that reason.

PS Plus, PS5 Pro and PS4

• PS Plus: the store lists GTA 6 as 1 player with offline play. Sony only charges for PS Plus to play online multiplayer, so the game itself needs no subscription. If Rockstar adds an online mode later, that part will follow Sony’s usual rule.
• PS5 Pro: marked PS5 Pro Enhanced. Same price, same purchase; the Pro just gets the enhanced mode.
• PS4: not announced. GTA 6 is PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only.
• Pre-load: both editions can be installed 7 days early. See pre-load times and size.

The GTA+ month

Pre-ordering on PlayStation adds one month of GTA+. The store says it auto-renews, can only be redeemed on the account that pre-ordered, and must be redeemed by March 31, 2027; the offer ends on launch day, November 19. Set a reminder to cancel if you only want the free month.
